How to be a professional?

Problem #1: YOU ARE STRUGGLING TO GET NEW CLIENTS IN YOUR CHAIR.

Solution #1: SELL YOURSELF. Every chance and moment you have is about marketing who you are, what you do & how well you do it. You must look at every opportunity with a client or non-client as a clear path to sell yourself. Your #1 job, 24/7 around the clock is to market who you are, what you do & how you do it.

Problem #2: I CAN’T AFFORD THE EXPENSIVE EDUCATION CLASSES.

Solution#2: START SMALL. You may ask, what do you mean? Think of this: Every self-investment you make, regardless if you pay or not, will contribute to your growth. Solution #3: LEARN STRUCTURE FROM THE START. Find a salon that is built around education and structure. Education and structure help to keep you accountable for continued growth. If you feel alone in a salon or feel like you don’t have a strong support system, the future possibility of success will start to decay. A structured salon usually has mentors, leaders, educators and team associated with it. Get into a salon that supports your goals and challenges you to become better.

Problem #4: SHOULD I DO COMMISSION OR BOOTH RENTAL

Solution #4: KNOW YOUR CHARACTER. You must have a clear idea what you are looking to achieve. For me, I always enjoyed being part of a team. Ideas and teamwork is a daily activity that fueled my growth.

Problem #5: FEELING FRUSTRATED AND UNACCOMPLISHED

Solution #5: MOTIVATION SPEECHES, BOOKS, QUOTES, GOALS. Yes! In that order. Shift a few things around and spring back into action.
