Though the effect of healthy hair nutrition is hard to monitor and measure, research shows that it promotes hair growth, while lack of proper treatment can lead to deficiencies and thus to losing hair and its poor state.

In spite of slow response of hair to many stimulation techniques, its nutrition is an important part of the proper treatment that has to be based on a comprehensive approach.

Also, it should be noted that many factors can affect the treatment efficiency, including various health disorders and diseases, such as congenital heart disease, malignant and neuromuscular diseases, as well as some chronic conditions. Malnutrition, genetic predisposition, alcoholism and aging are other factors leading to changes in hair color, hair loss and its poor state. Since the live hair roots are located under the scalp skin and get nutrients from the blood, it can be adversely affected due to stresses, smoking, traumas, administration of certain drugs and so on.
